01 KSY Leak Testing Machine Range
Each model is available in different station configurations and can be linked to KSY blow molding machines for automatic transfer and rejection.
Multi-station standard tester for most plastic bottles and containers in medium to high volume production.
- Suitable for bottles from 100 ml to 20 L
- 1–10 station configurations
- Automatic loading and unloading
- Defective bottle rejection on PLC
Designed for large containers, chemical pails and irregular bottle shapes that need stable clamping and a slower, controlled test motion.
- Stable reciprocating movement
- Stronger clamp / sealing system
- Handles larger containers up to 25 L
- Simple maintenance layout
Compact inline unit for smaller bottles and high-output blow molding lines. Designed for quick changeover and minimal interruption.
- Good choice for short cycle times
- 1–3 station compact footprint
- Works with small cosmetic / pharma bottles
- Quick format change
02 Why Leak Testing Matters in Blow Molding
Blow molded bottles can fail from pinholes, weak weld lines, cap-seat leakage or uneven wall thickness. A leak tester is not an option for quality packaging lines — it is a standard process step.
Prevent product failure
Leaking HDPE, PP or PET containers can spoil the contents, contaminate packaging, and create safety problems during transport.
Verify sealing performance
Your machine can also test closure sealing, so you do not ship products with weak cap-fit or damaged sealing areas.
Remove defective bottles before filling
Testing before filling avoids wasting filling media, labels and packaging labor on containers that cannot hold liquid.
Stable quality control data
PLC controls let you record reject counts, test pressure and test time, giving your QC team clear data for each production batch.
03 Applications
KSY leak testing machines are widely specified for containers that must hold liquid without dripping or leaking during handling.
04 Key Technical Features
Pressure decay testing
Air pressure is applied inside the bottle; the PLC monitors pressure drop to identify leakage. This is a clean, non-destructive, reliable method.
Multi-station scalability
Units are available from single-station entry level up to ten-station systems, matching different output speeds.
Blow molding line integration
The tester can be placed beside the blow molder or downstream of the trimmer with automatic bottle feeding and rejection.
Recipe memory
Operators recall saved test recipes for each bottle format. Settings for test pressure, fill time, settle time and reject delay are stored automatically.
Simple changeover
Change parts are designed for quick replacement, keeping downtime low when you move from one bottle size to another.
User-friendly HMI
Siemens PLC with a graphic touch screen displays test status, reject counting and alarms in a simple industrial format.
